Vick leads Eagles to a Monday Night of records

Quarterback Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles showned tonight some sports perfection in the first quarter of the game visiting their old buddy, Donovan McNabb, the actual QB of the Washington Redskins. The first 15 minutes and 9 seconds (this last part of the second quarter) was a game of 5 possessions and 5 touchdowns, beggining with the stunning 88 pass yard TD from Vick to the wonderboy DeSean Jackson. Plus, the defense imposed 4 three an outs to the Redskins.

By the end of the game, the Eagles had some records to count on the victory of 59 to 28 in DC: most prolific first quarter in the NFL history (28-0) and second biggest franchise win of all time (the biggest one was in November 6, 1934, 64-0 against the Cincinnati Reds). Michael Vick has his one big record to count after this perfect night too: he is the first NFL player to have more then 300 pass yards, more then 50 rush yards, 4 passing touchdowns and 2 rushing touchdowns.

As an Eagles fan from Brazil, i had questioned a lot the decision of the Eagles to give Donovan McNabb, the idol that made me love this team, away. But Andy Reid saw a hole new era on Philadelphia with Michael Vick, that put the Eagles game on a hole new level and very confident to win a Super Bowl. Let time answer this prayer!
