The new House is in the house

The best show on TV is back, finally. The beggining of the sixth season of House brought the first episode without the tradicional opening, without the "Teardrop" song of Massive Attack. Instead, we listen a Radiohead song, "No surprises", with a beautiful scene of the painful doctor in detox from vicodin.

By the end of the fifth season, when the drug abuse knocks on House's door to charge its price, we though that the beggining of the next season would be about facing the detox from the pills. But this special premiere episode, with 2 hours (in fact, 1h27min, without the commercials), was about the real monster inside the most intriguing caracter of our time: his incapability of have a connection with another human being.

After half-hour of mockery, House faces the consequences of his cold behavior and finally realises that something is terribly wrong with him. Accepting his condition, the treatment at the clinic and by having a real relationship with the humans that are side by side with him, not under his God-self inflicted super diagnostic skills, House gets out as a new person.

The producers seemed to deliver to us a transition to a new phase on the show. Are you ready for this new House, capable of being interested in real emotions, without the deflections from the past? Ready or not, we all are curious to see what is about to happen next.
